Cut, Kill and Sew!
Has anyone else notice that more ‘streetwear’ brands are starting to do cut and sew pieces? No reference to the Marc Ecko Cunt N Sew. It only makes sense I guess.
1.) The older generation of streetwear heads are maturing. Yeah that’s right, you can’t be rocking windbreakers and loud graphic shirts forever!
2.) I know you’re tired of hearing it but with the current ‘economic crisis’, brands are looking to design more timeless pieces. Following blueprints mapped out by the originators like Supreme, Ralph Lauren and YSL. Brands are producing articles of clothing that will stand the test of time or at least look good more than one season.
3.) – I don’t know I was only able to come up with two, but three sounds better right?
My favorite are the pieces from 10 deep. (Honorable mentions: Joyrich, Stussy Deluxe, Orisue, Supreme, Playclothes) These brands are dope all their cut and sew pieces are QUALITY! Thats right people, stop buying button ups from old navy that will only last you maybe 2 months or up until the first wash. They might seem just a tiny bit pricey but I guarantee you, that forever21 jacket you bought for 50 or 60 dollars. It won’t keep you nearly as warm, and you will end up having to replace that jacket sooner than you think.
- Now by all means if you really a budget conscious shopper their is nothing wrong with forever21, or old navy. But when someone walks by with 10deep jacket. RECOGNIZE.

Right now I’m looking to invest in a jacket/coat for the winter months. Currently caught up between the 10 deep toggle hoodie above or the orisue peacoat below.

As the rest of the other brands, step up your game or stick to graphic tee’s.
